Overview

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course in organizational behavior encompasses the study of individual and group behavior in organizational settings. Managing organizational behavior challenges individuals to understand and embrace workforce diversity, elements of change, effective communication, and performance systems. A comprehensive review of these processes, as well as others, will allow students to examine their role in organizations in the new millennium.

Also, include an assessment of the individual time management skills of your Learning Team members. Compare and contrast your Learning Team members’ different time management attributes. Explain how the perception of these individual attributes will benefit or challenge your Learning Team. Describe how your Learning Team can become a high-performance team. In your paper, discuss the following aspects of time management:

a. As a team, review the "Directions for Completing the Learning Summary" and "Learning Summary." These materials can be downloaded from http://ecampus.phoenix.edu.

b. As a team, complete the Learning Team Table section of the Learning Summary. Be sure to discuss the learning team charter goals and results, then provide reflective commentary.

c. Individually, complete the Individual Questions for Reflection.

d. Be prepared to submit and discuss the Learning Summary in Workshop Five.

e. Each team member should submit one copy to the faculty member and retain one copy to help write his/her Learning Team Charter in the next course.

3. DiSC® Platinum Rule Assessment Oral Presentation

Using the DiSC® Platinum Rule Assessment completed in Workshop Four, analyze the effectiveness of the communication process utilized by your Learning Team members. Compare and contrast each team member’s predominant behavioral style and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your Learning Team as a whole. Relate the DiSC® Platinum Rule Assessment results to the reading assignments and class lectures. Provide recommendations for the improvement of your Learning Team’s behavioral styles. Prepare a 15-20-minute oral presentation accompanied 10-12 Microsoft® PowerPoint® slides illustrating your DiSC® Platinum Rule Assessment analysis.
